Los Angeles, CA – The producers of parenting phenomenon THE WORLD’S STRICTEST PARENTS on CMT are now searching for families to host a rebellious teenager for a few days.
CMT documents the journey of two unruly teens from different families as they are forced to adapt to the rules and regulations of very strict host parents. Living under different standards from their families back home, the misbehaving teens are subject to punishment for breaking rules and skipping chores while the strict parents help them mend their ways.

The casting team is searching the United States to find the best parents in the country from every type of background and culture to take part in a social experiment exploring the world of the 21st century teenager matched against contemporary, tried-and-true parenting styles. Producers are seeking parents with unique interests; parents with strong family values; conservatives; farmers; parents with devout religious beliefs; academics; eco-friendly parents; and parents who have ordinary or extraordinary circumstances.
Moms and dads, if you are proud of your firm family structure, have well behaved kids, and want to show off your unflinching strict parenting skills, the casting team would like to hear from you. This is an opportunity to show other families how to raise their children the right way.

Fundraiser--Tuscan Nights

There are two ways to enjoy an evening amidst the ambience and lights of
Tuscany.
Fly to Italy via jet when you have lots of time and money. Or let yourself be taken away to the Tuscan Nights in Goodlettsville, a much shorter, less expensive, yet very worthwhile alternative.
But you’ll still be able to get away from it all as you stroll on the tree-lined lawn of Thistletop Inn as you join the Humane Society of Sumner County with its September 18 fundraiser where $25 gets you dinner, soft drinks, and a breath of Tuscany. There will also be a cash wine bar available.
Listen to the soft piano music accompanied by live jazz played by Teresa Collier while you select your Italian delights from inside the rustic hideaway visited by the likes of Johnny Cash, Trisha Yearwood, and Tammy Wynette. After selecting your Tuscan and Italian delights such as Fava Bean Dip with Parmesan Tortilla Chips or Meatballs in Marinara Sauce among many choices, select your dessert from many tasty items by caterer and Movable Feast’s Elaine O’Day, also a board member for the Humane Society of Sumner County.
Dinner will be enjoyed outside under tents illuminated with soft lights under the trees of Thistletop where you will also be able to stroll among the vendors and enjoy many sales there. Have you ever wanted to help but just didn’t know how? Turn your trash (at
least part of it) into cash. The Westmoreland Middle School PTO is
currently hosting a BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION collection drive. Whether you
have a child or grandchild at the school or not, YOU CAN HELP. Look for BOX
TOPS on participating products, cut, then send them to WMS. Our PTO will be
sending them off mid-October for redemption. We receive 10 cents for every
BOX TOP we return. A list of
participating products is here (pdf file). Thanks for helping your
community children!

Donors Choose is a national, non-profit organization designed to help teachers get needed supplies for their classrooms. Teachers submit proposals to Donors Choose, and Donors Choose reviews the requests and places them on their web site. At this point, any individual in the world can search the database for proposals they would like to fund in whole or in part. Once the project is fully funded, Donors Choose ships the requested supplies directly to the teacher. The teacher sends a thank-you letter [through Donors Choose] to the donor who completed the funding on his/her proposal. In addition, the teacher sends thank-you letters from each student along with photos of the class using the donated supplies. It's actually quite fun to see how this works! Donors Choose has just opened their program to teachers in Tennessee. We encourage teachers in Westmoreland and surrounding areas to submit proposals to Donors Choose! |
